About Our Founder
The Story
I was raised in an educated and entrepreneurial family in Kolkata, India, My parents raised me with a strong sense of responsibility and self-reliance. My father encouraged me to be an independent thinker and taught me the importance of financial literacy. All along I read widely, asked questions and explored different ideas, to pursue interests and develop skills. Our compassionate background of generosity carries a sense of giving back to the community. With continuous learning and most importantly, real-life, in-the-trenches business experience, as a business leader, I believe that leadership is a moment-to-moment choice and not about title, tenure or position. Leadership is for everyone, every day. It’s how I relentlessly live and execute unselfishly.
A graduate in Paper Engineering Technology from the reputed IIT, India, with an MBA from Tulane University, USA and many professional development courses from Harvard Business, University of Toronto, Motorola University, York University and TAPPI. Sush Mahalanobis began his humble career and rose through the ranks to serve as President, Senior Vice President and General Manager in different continents in paper manufacturing, packaging, display manufacturing, co-packing and Fulfillment industries serving CPG companies with full P&L and growth responsibilities. Most recently working as Regional Manager with Cascades Norampac, and Senior Vice President with PearceWellwood.
Sush is relentlessly driving his responsibilities and commitments to environmental carbon footprint reduction with ethical practices and volunteering for philanthropic causes without expecting anything in return.
As most businesses reach a size where they need improved processes, and dynamic and effective teams to produce sustainable results for shareholders, he has experience in both and led companies through rapid growth periods. Under his leadership in seven years, PearceWellwood had tripled its revenue to become a market leader during the tough economic recessionary time.
Sush received a final nomination for the Business Excellence Leadership Award from the Brampton Board of Trade and the city’s mayor in 2015.
